A builder who thinks in numbers.
I was in the crypto world early: as a semi-professional poker player I discovered crypto for international transfers — and saw its potential long before it went mainstream. Curiosity became conviction, conviction became a career: today I am one of Germany's leading crypto experts and manage two regulated crypto funds as founder of F5 Crypto.
Before that: financial economics at Humboldt University of Berlin and UC Berkeley, roles at Deutsche Bank and Roland Berger — and a master's thesis on crypto ETFs, years before anyone had them on the radar.
I found, scale and sell companies — three times successfully so far. What drives me: building companies, watching them grow, and not just analysing things but making them happen.

F5 Crypto
Berlin-based asset management company, founded in 2018 — one of the first registered crypto fund managers in Germany. With the F5 Crypto Fonds 1 (since 2021) and the SwissRex Crypto Fund (since 2025), one of Europe's largest managers of crypto-specialised funds.

My tech family office, together with Christian Musanke. We invest from seed to Series C in exceptional founders — plus funds such as Alpine Space Ventures, Bitkraft and SMAPE Capital, crypto and real estate.

Co-founded in 2021 with four partners, scaled to 100,000+ monthly users — majority-acquired by Börsenmedien AG in 2026. My third exit; I have stayed on in an advisory role.

2013
Early supporter: crypto. As a poker player I discover crypto for international transfers — and see its potential earlier than most.

2014–2017
M.Sc. in Financial Economics, Humboldt University of Berlin. Semesters abroad at UC Berkeley and in Fortaleza, Brazil. Master's thesis on crypto ETFs — one of the first academic papers at the intersection of finance and crypto. Industry roles at Deutsche Bank (Capital Markets & Treasury) and Roland Berger.

Exit no. 1: e-gaming. Sale of my e-gaming company to Donkr.

2018
Founding of F5 Crypto. Triggered by a family office looking to invest €100m in crypto — with no regulated path available.

2019
Exit no. 2: one of Europe's largest crypto media groups. Built together with Christian Musanke. Rapid growth, then a successful sale to KaFe Rocks.

2021
One of the first registered crypto fund managers in Germany. F5 Crypto receives its BaFin registration — in December, the F5 Crypto Fonds 1 launches.

Founding of Finanzwissen. I co-found finanzwissen.de with four partners — later reaching 100,000+ monthly users.

Takeover of the SwissRex Crypto Fund. F5 Crypto takes over the management of the Swiss fund, becoming one of Europe's largest managers of crypto-specialised funds.

Exit no. 3: Finanzwissen joins Börsenmedien AG. The publisher behind Germany's leading stock market media acquires the majority of Finanzwissen GmbH — I have stayed on in an advisory role.

Berlin's mix of Gründerzeit facades, post-war modernism and bold new builds sparked my love of architecture — built clarity fascinates me to this day.

Age of Empires II since childhood, poker once semi-professionally — what stayed is strategic thinking in probabilities.
